Sephiria Builds

Build routes that survive a full six-chapter run, and which artifacts each one wants.

A build is three decisions that have to agree

A weapon upgrade line. A talent spread. A combo plan for what goes in the bag.

Runs fail at chapter boundaries almost always because two of those three are pulling in different directions — a weapon committed to lightning, talents committed to survival, and a bag full of fire artifacts is three half-builds rather than one whole one. Sephiria is generous enough that any coherent plan works and unforgiving enough that no incoherent one does.

What this section contains

Routes players have actually taken to a clear, each attributed to where it was documented rather than invented here:

The Storm Cloud greatsword that the community recommends to anyone stuck, described by one of its own advocates as boring. The Ilonica staff build written up in detail by the person who maintains the community tablet solver. The fire Blade route from a Chinese-language Steam guide, which has a dependency most write-ups miss. And a breadth build around the Ingenuity capstone, which is not a weapon build at all.

Depth or breadth depends on one talent

This is the fork that determines everything else about your bag.

Ingenuity at level 20 grants +7% universal damage per active combo type. Six combos at their minimum thresholds — most are only two items — is +42% on everything. Before you have that capstone, the individual combo bonuses are what you are buying, and spreading thin gets you nothing.

So the same advice inverts depending on where you are in the Destiny Inscription tree. Early, go deep on two or three tags. Late, go as wide as your artifact pool allows.

Test routes without spending runs

The Comprehensive Training Grounds has an anvil next to the guard NPC, and you can walk an entire weapon upgrade tree there for free. The Journal → Weapons tab shows every path in advance.

Between those two, there is no reason to discover mid-run that a branch does not do what you expected — which matters especially for the Staff, where one path is functionally dead if you have no bolt spells.

Switching routes is normal

Talents respec free at any time outside the dungeon. Weapons unlock permanently once you finish Moro's training quest. Nothing about picking a route commits you to it beyond the current run.

The most common mistake is not picking the wrong build — it is sticking with a build past the point where the run stopped supporting it.

No tier list

TEAM HORAY has never published one and no community survey exists.

Where a page in this section says a weapon is easy or hard, it is quoting an attributed opinion from a Steam thread and saying so. Great Sword with Storm Cloud is repeatedly called the easiest; the Dagger is the subject of a dedicated buff-request thread over its melee range at Hard Mode tiers 30 to 50. That is sentiment, not data, and we do not have damage benchmarks for any route because nobody has published any.
