Editorial Policy of the Sephiria Wiki, Stated Fully
Every guide on this wiki is written under five standing rules. This page states them, so readers can hold pages to them.
Sourcing: announcements first, community second, nothing third
TEAM HORAY's Steam announcements are the only tier treated as settled fact — patch notes are quoted with their version number and date. Community measurements and data audits form the second tier: used, credited to the measurer, and labelled as community work. There is no third tier. A number that circulates with no traceable origin — however many sites repeat it — stays off these pages, and several well-known "Sephiria facts" fail exactly that test.
Conflicts get printed, not adjudicated
When two credible sources disagree, both versions appear with their origins. The standing example: the developer describes "about 300 artifacts" while the most thorough community audit catalogues 236 — our artifacts page carries both numbers and says why neither is treated as wrong. Picking the tidier figure would read better and inform worse.
Beta numbers wear a label
Sephiria spent fifteen months in Early Access, and many values were last publicly adjusted in the 0.9.x–0.10.x era. Those appear here with that provenance stated — "last publicly adjusted in 0.10.14, not reconfirmed for 1.0" — rather than silently promoted to current fact. When a 1.0-era patch touches such a value, the label comes off and the citation updates.
Version stamps are commitments
The stamp at the top of a guide — the patch it was last reviewed against — is a promise that someone re-read the page against that build's public record. Patches like 1.0.26 and 1.0.30, which changed weapon rules and artifact behaviour, trigger passes through every affected page; the patch-notes section additionally records which of our guides each update invalidated, so the correction trail is public.
Advertising pays for hosting and buys nothing else
The site runs third-party display ads. The network picks the creatives; no advertiser previews content, sponsors a page, or learns what we are about to publish. If any page here ever carries paid placement or affiliate links, this policy will say so before the page does — as of the date above, none do.
Corrections and contact
Errors get fixed with the updated date moved, and materially misleading ones get an inline note rather than a silent rewrite. The contact page is the route; a report citing a patch-note line or carrying a screenshot goes to the front of the queue. The wiki is maintained by one person, which is a limitation and also the reason its rules can actually be enforced on every page.
