Sephiria Artifact Tags: Key Artifacts in Every Combo Family
Sephiria has roughly 300 artifacts, and the launch notes added nineteen more plus a new combo. Nobody can hold that list in their head, and nobody needs to — what matters is which handful each tag is really about. This page collects the artifacts that documented builds name as the reason their tag is worth stacking, one table per family, with the build that vouches for each. It is a cross-index, not a catalogue: the artifact system page explains rarity, levels and the conversion devices, and the combo thresholds page explains what each tag pays out at 2, 3, 6 and 10.
A note on names. Where the vouching guide is in English we print its names verbatim. Where it is in Chinese or Japanese we give our translation and say so — match those by effect, not by spelling.

Physical damage: Sturdy and Precision
| Tag | Artifacts named as key | Vouched by |
|---|---|---|
| Sturdy | Golden Crown of Arrogance (final-hit crit chance), Eternal Winter (Glacier bond, "very high damage"), Agma Projection Sword No. 190 / 191, Amulet of Courage (lifesteal), Thorn Charm, Mystical Pendulum; Vital Touch only after your tank is solid | Tier 50 evasion tank |
| Sturdy (one pick only) | the Pendulum — "huge normal-attack damage; the rest of the tag is not worth the cost" | fire Blade guide |
| Precision | Warm Stone (crit damage), Faultfinder Needle (crit), Scythe of Berut (with the Crown), Balisong, Ebony Scale | Tier 50 |
| Precision | "the three crit-damage pieces and the legendary first" | fire Blade, lightning spellbook |
Three separate guides converge on Precision's crit-damage pieces, which is as close to consensus as Sephiria artifact advice gets.
Survival: Shadow, Guardian, Glacier
| Tag | Artifacts named as key | Vouched by |
|---|---|---|
| Shadow | Broken Sapphire ("hybrid tank + guaranteed evasion, extremely powerful"), Shimmering Eye (guaranteed evasion on crit), Cloak of Verdant Spirit, Elastic Band, Pinwheel, Battle Bracelet of Lerid, Six Leaf Clover, Green Gi, Model Beak | Tier 50 |
| Shadow | Battle Bracelet + Elastic Band: a single dash becomes near-permanent evasion if you keep landing dodges | lightning spellbook, fire Blade |
| Guardian | Hand Mirror (resetting 10 HP shield), Beast's Heart (defence + damage + luck), Lizard Plate Armor ("one of the best tank items"); White Crust Bread is weak at legendary — reroll it at an urn | Tier 50; Lizard Plate Armor also flagged "lucky if it drops" by the Companion build |
| Glacier | Echo of the Glacier (defence + Frostbite), Feet of the Ice Gull (Cold stat), Snow Mountain Long-eared Bat; Eternal Winter is the Sturdy–Glacier bond | Tier 50 |
Broken Sapphire got a cosmetic fix in 1.0.30 (its effect was drawn over speech bubbles). Bloodstone Earrings, the big lifesteal piece, is on two guides' lists with the same warning: taken before defence, it kills runs.
Reach and speed: Wind Song
| Artifacts | Why | Vouched by |
|---|---|---|
| Wind Sheet Music | Melee range — "must have" for the great sword, "no range to play with" without it for the Blade | Tier 50, fire Blade |
| Sword Training Manual, Wings, Clear Cube, Golden Cloak | Attack speed, true damage, dash + crit | Tier 50 |
| Silver Bracelet, Pinwheel | Optional; Pinwheel doubles as Shadow evasion | fire Blade, Tier 50 |
Wind Sheet Music is the single most-cited artifact across the guides we have read. If you play any melee class, the great sword and Blade routes both treat it as mandatory.
Casting: Magitech, Lake, Academy
All three are documented by the lightning spellbook guide; names are our translation from Traditional Chinese.
| Tag | Artifacts named as key | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Magitech | Lightning Boomerang spellbook (main damage), Lightning Magic Bolt (bridge damage), Thunder Armour, Judgement of Thunder | Damage; some lightning damage early "makes the run comfortable" |
| Lake | Water Jug (activates at 200 MP — the build's engine), the Cup (the only MP-steal artifact the author knows), Broken Branch (+60 max MP), Sapphire (+33% max MP) | MP ceiling; the rest of the tag "is low value but you take it for the combo" |
| Academy | Meditation Book, Hourglass, Pocket Watch (+80 spellbook speed), Coin (+30); Crabapple (+14) is low priority | Cooldown; "the build is not fun until Hourglass and Pocket Watch are both in" |
The 1.0.26 Green Sawblade fix (buff now applies when 30+ MP is spent at once) is the one August change relevant to MP-burst casters.
Fire: Solar Blade, Ember, Elemental
| Tag | Artifacts named as key | Vouched by |
|---|---|---|
| Solar Blade | Furnace (generates the charges the katana consumes — mandatory), Shoulder Guard (recovers spent charges), the three heart-less series pieces; skip the spellbook and throw-damage ones | fire Blade |
| Ember | secondary fire source, but "too scattered — pollutes the pool if taken early"; the Red-Clothed Cat's starting fire bolt should sit in the Side Bag until the core is in | fire Blade |
| Elemental | Elemental Book first; reaching Elemental 6 is "simple, brutal base damage"; White Paper (untagged) counts toward it | fire Blade, lightning spellbook |
| — | Pure White Cloak: extends the Solar Blade buff from 10 to 30 seconds — the difference between two stacks and six | fire Blade |
The fire Blade page has the full pickup order.
Mystic and the ×2 slot
Mystic items are the Tier 50 guide's "honourable mentions" — White Egg Shell (clears floors and the Qliphoth tentacles), Cintamani Stone, Crystal of Harmony with Impact Amplifier (fourteen levels of true damage), Blue Ring (universal damage) — and holding many of them grants the ×2 slot bonus that the tablet solver lets you mark. Two are trader-only: Toxic Spore Pouch and Lunch Box.
Companion (Early Access documentation)
From the Japanese Lazarion guide, 0.8.12 era: Simple Contract (companion HP up to +150% when maxed — the piece that stops summoned crystals dying in a second), Multipurpose Belt (all elements; the Ilonica staff build uses the same item for its top-row trick), Alfonso's Horn, Thin Cushion, and Heita's Soul Powder (a Frostbite-applying ice companion, "the only stun"). The guide says to level the Contract, Horn and Cushion before any companion itself. None of these values is 1.0-confirmed.
Alchemy, and the "true damage" question
Two guides name exactly one Alchemy pick — the Potato, for ignoring enemy defence on high tiers — and both dismiss the Traveller's Blessing. The fire Blade author's reason is worth quoting because it is a claim about the game, not the item: true damage "is purely useless in the current version." We have no developer statement either way; the Early Access stat guide defines true damage as added before defence, crit and damage boosts, which is consistent with it scaling badly. Treat it as a well-founded community opinion.
How to use this page
Pick the tag your weapon line wants, take the artifacts in its "key" cell on sight, and let the Fruit Skewer bias drops toward that tag. Everything not in a key cell is combo filler — worth taking for the threshold count, not worth a reroll.
