Sephiria Run Events: Nodes, Merchants and Fruit Skewer
A Sephiria floor is a short menu. Our beginner guide describes the skeleton — a starting room, a choice of three nodes, then the boss. This page covers what is on that menu, plus the second layer of things that happen to you without being picked.
Almost none of it has been documented by TEAM HORAY as a system. What exists is one Early Access community list and roughly two dozen patch notes re-tuning individual events. This page is built from the patch notes, with that list printed once and labelled.
The two lists, and who is actually claiming them
One community source splits a run into nodes and random events, and no first-party source confirms that split. From Basic Guide to Sephiria by FireBrother, built on 0.7.31 and 0.7.35, last updated 19 May 2025:
Nodes: Level Up, Artifact, Enchantment, Tablet, Money, Green Heart, Anvil, Dice, Shop, Tree Roots.
Random events: Arena, Secret Room, Lucky Clover, Wandering Merchant, Pocket Dimension, Obelisk, Fountain, Colin, Blood Donation.
Treat that as one uncorroborated snapshot of a May 2025 build, not as 1.0 contents. TEAM HORAY's own vocabulary does use both shapes — "Battle Wave Event Node" in 0.7.38, "the Anvil event" in 0.10.5 — but the tidy two-column split is the guide's, not theirs. The list is also short by at least one entry: the 1.0 notes add "1 new random object where you can purchase items", unnamed. And Battle Wave, which the patch notes discuss repeatedly, appears nowhere on it under that name; whether it is the entry called Arena is not something we can check.
Anvil: the event with the longest bug trail
Three notes, and every one is about the anvil failing to be where it should be. 0.10.5, 31 December 2025: "Woodlands: The Anvil event now provides the anvil first. (However, in locations that require exploration, placement is random)". Same patch: "Fixed an issue where the anvil event would sometimes not appear when entering the Library without completing weapon upgrades up to the Library stage." Then 0.12.0, 13 May 2026: "Fixed an issue where entering Mole Stronghold with the weapon equipped would prevent Anvil from appearing in that stage."
All three are fixes, so none of them states a current rule. What they show is which variables the placement logic touches: the stage, whether that stage requires exploration to reach the anvil, your weapon-upgrade progress, and what you walked in carrying. A missing anvil is a bug shape with history, not something you did wrong.
Enchant, Battle Wave, and the mini-boss rooms
Enchant. One number has ever been published, in 0.7.28 of 24 April 2025: "Enchant Event: Minimum enchant chances increased from 1 to 2." That is a floor rather than a typical value, and it was last publicly adjusted in 0.7.28 with no restatement for 1.0. Enchantment as a system, and why it is not the same thing as tablet placement, is on our inventory grid page.
Battle Wave. 0.7.32, 9 May 2025: "Changed so that rewards have a chance to appear additionally upon clearing combat wave event rooms." 0.7.38, 4 June 2025, then made the node show the HUD map. Extra rewards are a chance, in the developer's own wording, not a guarantee.
Mini-bosses. 0.8.7, 13 August 2025: "In Chapter 3 mini-boss events, regular combat rooms changed from 2-3 rooms to fixed 1 room." And 0.10.4, 26 December 2025: "The miniboss event in The Woodlands will now always occur in Chapter 4." That second line is the firmest scheduling statement in the whole record — one event, one chapter, guaranteed.
Pocket Dimension, and the achievement that counts it
The Pocket Dimension is a shop. 0.7.25 & 26, 21 April 2025: "Pocket Dimension Shop: Added 2 new artifacts." Then 0.900.6 of 14 October 2025 exposes its structure sideways, fixing a bug "where Bond Artifacts would appear in Pocket Dimension Shop 'New Offer' stage even when conditions weren't met". So there is a stage called New Offer, and Bond Artifacts do belong there once conditions are met. Which conditions is never stated; Bond Artifacts themselves are on our artifacts and tablets page.
It has its own achievement, and that one ships blank: Where the Blue Being Lives, no description text at all, 77.2% global unlock as of 12 August 2026. The internal key is POCKET_DIMENSION, which we read as strong evidence of the trigger rather than proof.
Colin, or Collin
Two first-party notes, two spellings, and we are not picking one. 0.7.35, 19 May 2025: "This improvement aims to prevent unintended conversations with Colin when interacting with shops, stairs, etc." — which tells you where he tends to stand. Then 1.0.24, 7 August 2026: "NPC Collin: Dialogue is now disabled after becoming a companion" — which tells you he can become one, and that he was still being adjusted in the newest published patch. How you recruit him, and what he offers first, appear in no source we hold.
When the merchant turns on you
Hostility is area-wide. From the 1.0 update of 31 July 2026: "When you turn a Wanderer hostile, the message 'All Wanderers in this area are now hostile to you.' is displayed." That message exists because the consequence is not local to the one you hit.
1.0.23 of 4 August 2026 re-tuned three things at once: "Merchants that can engage in combat now return to their original position after leaving it", "Suspicious Hat Merchant: Adjusted how quickly it starts to flee", and a fix for the off-screen enemy indicator sticking around after it became hostile. Read together: some merchants fight and then go home, and the Suspicious Hat Merchant runs instead of fighting.
This has been load-bearing enough to break runs — 0.10.17 of 20 February 2026 fixed "a bug where a merchant would prevent game progression in Chapter 4 Woodlands when in a hostile situation with the merchant."
Two vocabulary notes. The 1.0 update also says "Travelers in the dungeon now grow stronger as stage progress advances", and whether Travelers and Wanderers are one class of NPC is stated nowhere; the Traveler achievement is about hidden rooms instead, which we cover on our secret rooms page. And 0.7.43 of 1 July 2025 notes that "Experience vending machines will occasionally appear from merchants", so merchants are not purely item shops.
Fruit Skewer: the drop table you set before you leave
Fruit Skewers bias drop rates, and you set them in town. From the Combo System public beta announcement of 1 October 2025: "Fruit Skewers are tools that can increase or decrease the drop rates of related combo items, which you can set before entering an expedition. With some randomness added, the combos that appear differ each run."
The one set of numbers comes from 0.10.6, 8 January 2026: "Before: 50% bonus per Fruit Skewer (up to 150% bonus for Adaptive (Carrot)). After: 25% bonus per Fruit Skewer (up to 75% bonus for Adaptive (Carrot)), however '-(minus)' Fruit Skewers that reduce drop rate now apply double the reduction (i.e., -50% per '-')."
Those three figures — 25% each, a 75% ceiling on Adaptive (Carrot), and -50% per negative skewer — were last publicly adjusted in 0.10.6 on 8 January 2026, and TEAM HORAY has not restated them for 1.0. The announcement that introduced the system also called itself a public beta whose parts "may be modified or removed depending on future development progress". They are the newest published values, not confirmed current ones.
What is confirmed for 1.0 is the unlock: "A Destiny Inscription quest for the Fruit Skewer has been added. It can be unlocked through a Destiny Inscription after starting the game." Fruit Skewer is also one of three prerequisites for Presets, per 0.901.0 of 30 April 2026: "This feature becomes available when you unlock Talent, Wishing Fountain, and Fruit Skewer." Talents are on our talents page.
Blood Donation, and one claim we are demoting
Blood Donation appears on the community event list and nowhere in the patch record. Our own beginner guide states that doing it five times unlocks the Wingless Bat costume; we went looking for a first-party source for that and did not find one.
The costume is real — Wingless Bat is named in patch 0.7.47 — but the five-donation condition is not. The only costume unlock condition TEAM HORAY has ever spelled out is Otter's, in 0.8.7, where the requirement displayed as 175% critical damage but "actually required achieving 225%". Until something comparable surfaces, the five-times claim stays a community claim.
What is missing here, and why
No probabilities. Not one appearance rate, weight or roll table has been published for any node or event, and we are not reverse-engineering one from anecdote.
No 1.0 node list. The only list is from May 2025, uncorroborated, and 1.0 added at least one purchasable object it declines to name.
No description of Arena, Lucky Clover or Obelisk. They appear on that single community list and in no patch note we hold, so all we can honestly report is that the names exist.
No merchant-kill rewards, no Colin recruitment steps, no Blood Donation payout. None of it is documented, and whether attacking a merchant pays is exactly the sort of question a guessed answer ruins.
Nothing new on Mystic Pot, the Wishing Fountain or the Tablet Combiner — those live on the artifacts and tablets page, and duplicating them here would create two versions to keep correct.
And no ranking of which node to take. TEAM HORAY has never published one and no community survey exists, so any order we printed would be our own taste wearing a lab coat.
