Sephiria Patch Notes: 1.0.25 to 1.0.30 Explained
Last reviewed: 1 September 2026 · Newest patch at review time: 1.0.30 (20 August 2026).
The quiet spell after 1.0.24 did not last. Between 13 and 20 August, TEAM HORAY shipped six version numbers across three announcements — 1.0.26 with 1.0.27 attached, a 1.0.28 hotfix carrying 1.0.29, and 1.0.30 — and unlike the early-August run of pure bug repair, two of these patches change how weapons actually play. This page covers all of them; the launch-window record lives on the 1.0.19 to 1.0.24 page.
The publishing quirks we documented for the launch patches continue here, so read version claims carefully: 1.0.25's own notes still never appeared (the 1.0.24 announcement says it resolved the Training Grounds freeze, and that is the entire public record), 1.0.27 is a single line living inside the 1.0.26 post, and 1.0.29 lives inside the post titled "1.0.28 hotfix."

1.0.26 — the first real combat changes since launch
Published 13 August. Two rule changes lead the notes, and both matter more than their length suggests.
The Dagger's Dash Attack can now chain into Special Attack: Parry and Special Attack: Fury. This is the first weapon-rule buff of the 1.0 era — every earlier patch only fixed weapons that were misbehaving. Dash-in openings now flow directly into the Dagger's defensive and offensive specials instead of requiring a beat in between.
Temporary HP from a co-op revive no longer vanishes when you heal — but all of it is lost whenever your maximum HP changes. A straight quality fix with one sharp edge: artifacts that raise or lower max HP now clear your revive buffer, so grabbing a heart container at the wrong moment costs more than it looks.
The rest of 1.0.26 is long but surgical: three fixes to the Chapter 6 final boss (stun during teleport no longer locks it invincible), the Mole Mechanic no longer heals other Mechanics, Lightning Flash's Special Attack: Issen now grants invincibility while sheathing, the Black Iron Halberd's Tier 2 upgrade actually applies, and the Green Sawblade correctly stacks its buff when 30+ MP is spent at once. Hard Mode's Tension and Festival of Blood modifiers now work in the boss fights where they silently did not. And the UI got its biggest quality change of the month: preset slots expanded from 7 to 15, with slot locking — though note the reworked Delete Slot is permanent where the old Reset was not.
1.0.27, the attached one-liner, fixed preset buttons being unselectable at certain resolutions.
1.0.28 and 1.0.29 — the next day's hotfixes
Published 14 August, four fixes plus one: corrupted story-object UI in Chapter 4, weapon tooltips showing a previously viewed weapon's keywords, Hard Mode difficulty being unchangeable on gamepad, the time-change function not resetting — and, as 1.0.29, a Chapter 6 multiplayer freeze after game over. Nothing here touches balance; this is the fastest turnaround of the 1.0 era, one day after 1.0.26.
1.0.30 — a boss gets its own music, and the Frozen Bow gets scarier
Published 20 August, and the current build as of 1 September. The headline for most players is cosmetic-but-not-really: Pentaxis, the Guardian of the Library now has dedicated boss music, a community-requested change. Two item changes carry actual build weight:
- Frozen Bow: arrows now pass through walls. A flat capability buff to an already popular pick — wall-heavy rooms stop being its weakness.
- Flourish Staff: holding attack during a Special Attack now resumes your attack the moment the special ends. Not a damage change, but it removes the input gap that punished holding the button down.
The supporting cast: the Mystic Pot and the Suspicious Hat Merchant's shop orb now display as broken once used up (no more walking back to spent objects), Tablet Imprinting no longer eats the Tablet when activation conditions fail, undiscardable Tablets can no longer enter the Tablet Combiner, a Steam Deck crash case was improved, and dashing on gamepad works again when auto-aim overlaps your own character. Multiplayer lobby names are now capped at 64 characters.
The line with the widest reach is at the bottom: three new interface languages — Traditional Chinese, Italian and Turkish — bringing the game beyond the launch set. All three arrived marked with the community-feedback carrot.
What this stretch changes about our guides
Our standing note that "nothing about artifacts or tablets has changed since 1.0.19" expired with these patches — the Frozen Bow now fires through walls and the Green Sawblade stacks correctly, and the weapon roster saw its first rule changes of the 1.0 era. The artifacts and weapons pages flag every affected entry. Dagger and Lightning Flash users should re-read their weapon behaviour rather than trusting muscle memory from launch week. Layout advice for the inventory grid is unaffected — none of these patches touch grid shapes or costs.
The cadence, updated
Eleven quiet days after 1.0.24, then six versions in eight days, then quiet again through 1 September. That is the second cycle matching the same shape — a burst of shipped fixes followed by silence while the next batch builds. The carrot emoji count keeps rising too: 1.0.30 marks over a dozen changes as community-driven. As before, when the next announcement lands, this page changes; anything a search result tells you about a "1.0.31" before the Steam news feed shows one is invention.
