Sephiria Secret Rooms: Cracked Walls and the Traveler
TEAM HORAY has never published an explanation of how hidden rooms work. There is no tutorial note, no feature announcement, no line in the 1.0 summary. What exists instead is a trail of bug fixes running from April 2025 to January 2026, and those fixes describe the mechanic by accident, because you cannot report repairing a thing without naming it first.
Four of them name the same object: a crack in a wall. That is the whole discoverable mechanism. Everything else on this page is either a reading of those notes, a number captured from Steam on 12 August 2026, or a community claim we have labelled as one.
The wall is the signpost
The clearest note is also the strangest, because it describes the markers being switched off rather than on. From 0.7.29 & 30, 29 April 2025: "A bug that causes the game to crash when entering a location with a hidden room in the grassland stage has been temporarily fixed. This causes the crack tiles pointing to the hidden room in the grassland to not be generated."
Three things follow from that one sentence. Crack tiles are a discrete generated object, not decoration, because they can be suppressed on their own. They point to a hidden room, which is TEAM HORAY's own wording rather than ours. And generation is scoped per location, since the fix applied to one stage only.
The same patch adds: "Fixed a bug where crack tiles indicating secret rooms were occasionally placed incorrectly." 0.7.35 of 19 May 2025 puts a second stage on the record: "Library: Fixed an issue where cracks in certain secret room locations weren't visible." Then 0.8.8 of 22 August 2025 shows that spotting one and getting inside are separate problems: "Fixed the issue where secret rooms could not be entered in certain rooms."
Marker generation, marker placement, marker visibility and room entry have each broken independently. They are four different systems, which is worth knowing when yours misbehaves.
Breaking in
No official note describes the input. The only instruction on record in any source we hold is community-written, from the Steam guide Basic Guide to Sephiria by FireBrother: "To reveal the secret room, simply approach the cracked wall and strike it."
That guide states it was built on versions 0.7.31 and 0.7.35 and was last updated on 19 May 2025, which makes it Early Access material, and it is a single source we could not independently confirm. Our own beginner guide says the same thing and adds that the cracks are "often high up" — also a community claim, also uncorroborated by any patch note. Both are repeated here because they are the only instructions that exist, not because we have verified them.
Where they are: two accounts, both printed
This is where the record splits, and the house rule is to print both rather than pick a winner.
Account one, held on this site's beginner guide: "They exist on floors 1–5 but not in Qliphoth's Temple."
Account two, from TEAM HORAY in 0.10.10, 23 January 2026: "Hidden rooms now appear in some events of Chapter 4 Woodlands stage."
The word carrying the weight is now. If hidden rooms were being added to Woodlands events in January 2026, then their distribution was still being extended long after a floors 1–5 description would have been formed, and a fixed floor range is a shaky way to describe a game that shipped 1.0 with six chapters. Account two also places them inside events, not only in ordinary rooms, which the first account does not address.
Independently of both, the patch record names exactly two stages as containing hidden rooms or their crack tiles: the grassland in 0.7.29 & 30, and the Library in 0.7.35. Those two are first-party attested. Every other statement about distribution is not.
What comes out of them
Almost nothing is documented, and we are not going to assemble a reward table out of nothing.
The first-party record contains exactly one named item and one general statement, both from 0.10.10: "Mystic Pot occasionally appears in hidden rooms or as combat rewards during exploration", and "The variety of rewards in hidden rooms of some stages has been increased."
So Mystic Pot is the only hidden-room reward named anywhere in the patch history, it is explicitly not exclusive to hidden rooms, and reward variety was broadened for an unspecified subset of stages. What Mystic Pot actually does is covered on our artifacts and tablets page. Drop rates, pool contents and per-stage differences have never been published by anyone we can cite.
Traveler, and what 83.2% says
Sephiria tracks hidden rooms with an achievement. Its internal key is FOUND_HIDDEN_ROOM, its display name is Traveler, its description is "Find a hidden room.", and its global unlock rate was 83.2% as of 12 August 2026. That is a rolling lifetime statistic across all owners and it drifts daily, so the capture date is part of the number.
Only three achievements sit above it in the same capture: DIY at 91.7%, Stronghold Exploration at 90.0% and Sky of the Roofless Tower at 85.3%. Chapter I completion sits below it, at 72.7%.
That last comparison is arithmetic rather than an official statement, but it is hard to read around: at least 10.5 percentage points of the tracked population have found a hidden room without having Chapter I registered as complete. Finding one is plainly not gated behind finishing the first chapter. The full ladder of rates is on our achievements page.
One naming trap. The achievement is Traveler, singular. Patch notes separately use Travelers and Wanderer for dungeon NPCs that can be turned hostile, which is an unrelated subject handled on our run events page. Nothing connects the two words beyond spelling.
A hidden room is not a Pocket Dimension
Both are things you fall into rather than choose, and they are not the same thing. The community taxonomy quoted on our run events page lists Secret Room and Pocket Dimension as two separate random events, though that taxonomy is a single Early Access source.
The Pocket Dimension has its own achievement and it ships blank: display name Where the Blue Being Lives, no description text at all, 77.2% as of 12 August 2026. Its internal key is POCKET_DIMENSION, which we treat as strong evidence of the trigger rather than proof, because TEAM HORAY left the description empty on purpose.
The practical consequence of the 0.10.10 wording is smaller: since Mystic Pot appears both in hidden rooms and as an ordinary exploration reward, running into one does not mean you were in a hidden room.
What this page does not tell you, and why
No map, and no coordinates. The only positional claim in any source we hold is our own beginner guide's line about one on floor 3, bottom-left of the map after the Erma fight, with no visual hint at all. Nothing in the patch record corroborates it, so it stays labelled as a community claim rather than being promoted onto this page as fact.
No count. How many hidden rooms a run, a floor or a chapter can contain has never been published.
No reward table, for the reason given above. One named item is not a table.
No confirmed input. Hitting a cracked wall is a community instruction. TEAM HORAY has never written down what actually opens one.
No verdict on Qliphoth's Temple. The claim that hidden rooms do not exist there is negative, community-sourced, and cannot be tested against any patch note. Absence of a patch note is not evidence either way.
One source we could not read. Sportskeeda publishes a Sephiria secret rooms guide, and its URL returned HTTP 403 to us on 12 August 2026, so nothing from it informed this page.
And no ranking of which stages are worth hunting in. That would need per-stage reward data nobody has published, and without it a ranking is just taste wearing a lab coat.
