Sephiria Final Boss & Endings: Chapter 6, Then What
Only 16.3% of Sephiria players have seen the ending. This page is about being in that sixth: how to build a run that survives the chapter 6 finale, and what the game does and does not tell you about the endings on the other side of it.
The boss himself — Qliphoth, fought on floor 7 through Revival, True Form and Final Form — is mapped with the rest of the roster on the boss list. This page is the preparation and aftermath; that page is the who-and-where.
What makes the finale different from every other floor
Three structural facts, from the one dedicated fight guide in circulation plus TEAM HORAY's own patch notes:
The phases chain without a pause. Form transitions are not checkpoints and there is no mid-fight breather to drink through. Whatever HP and MP you carry across a transition is your starting position for the next form — budget resources for a marathon, not three sprints.
The arena tightens late. The closing stretch shrinks your usable space while persistent hazard zones stay live, so dodge patterns that worked all run — long dashes through open floor — stop fitting. Builds that rely on distance decay here; builds that can fight inside a phone booth do not.
His combos chain off a single hit. One clipped attack can cascade. This is why the guide's preparation advice is phrased defensively even for damage builds.
The preparation rule of thumb
The Medium guide's formula is worth quoting because it prices each stat honestly: enough defense to survive two hits, enough recovery that one mistake is repairable, and everything else into damage. Not a tank build — a build where an error costs a correction instead of the run.
The same logic favours sustained damage over burst. Long phases with no pauses reward the build that never stops hitting, not the one that empties everything into ten seconds. If your damage graph is a spike followed by cooldowns, the second half of each form is where the fight will beat you.
Worth knowing before you judge your own attempt: the fight was harder before 1.0.21. That hotfix cut the phase 1 radial bullet spread and took a third of the HP off phase 2's Pillar Summoner minions. Advice written in the launch week describes a slightly nastier fight than the current one.
The endings
What is verifiable: chapter 6 and "a new ending" arrived together in update 1.0.19 — the phrasing itself confirming the game has more than one. Reaching an ending at all is the Journey's End achievement (16.3%), and a separate chain of hidden achievements — Soul Plan (30.8%), Hero's Guise (27.6%), Temple of Evil (17.1%), Seal (16.4%) — tracks what the community treats as the true ending route.
What the chain's numbers reveal: nearly a third of players start it, and the big filter is between Hero's Guise and Temple of Evil — after that, everyone finishes. So the route's early steps are accessible; the commitment is in its back half.
What we will not print: step-by-step conditions. Steam hides these achievements' descriptions, and no source we checked documents the exact triggers in a way that can be verified — most pages that claim to are reworded guesses. Between the achievements list and this page you have every number that is actually public; the specific triggers you will have to discover, or bring us evidence for via the contact page.
After the credits
Hard Mode. Finishing the game opens Root's Retreat — thirty escalating stages with their own achievements at stages 1, 15 and 30 (45.2%, 30.8% and 19.6% of players respectively). The Hard Mode page covers the modifier stack; note that its stage rewards include talent points, so the mode funds its own climb.
The Pocket Dimension changes jobs. During the campaign it is a curiosity (and the 77.2% Where the Blue Being Lives achievement); an early-access-era developer-community exchange described it as becoming an artifact-unlock system after completion. That description predates 1.0, so treat the details as historical — but if you cleared the game and are wondering where new artifacts come from, that is the room to check.
No New Game Plus exists as far as any source documents — the post-game loop is Hard Mode depth, the true-ending route if you skipped it, and the costume and achievement chases. If TEAM HORAY's 3-4 day patch cadence eventually adds more, the patch-notes section will have it before this page does.
